Using a hashtag is pretty simple. First you need to identify what topic or content you are going to share . Then you need to think about what keyword you would use to search for this information.

As I mentioned before, a hashtag can be a keyword or a series of words.

If you choose to use multiple words, remember that good practice recommends using both upper and lower case. The most common is to use the initial of each word in upper case.

Once you identify your keyword or series of keywords, you should put them after the hash sign (#). Of course, you should put it in the text you are going to share on your social network.

Something important to know is that spaces are not identified, so if you are going to write a series of words in your hashtag, they must all be joined together.

Another good practice is to only use a couple of tags per post. As I mentioned indonesia number list earlier, many brands abuse the use of tags to increase their visibility. Don't make that mistake!

To know which hashtags to use, ask yourself: what word or words might my audience use to search for my content? This will help you find your keywords.

You should choose few words or the most positioned ones . Also, I suggest you do not repeat words in the hashtags. Also, only use that relevant word once, otherwise, it will be frowned upon.

Hashtags can be used on multiple occasions. For example, if your company has a launch event for a new brand, you can position it as a hashtag, using the name of the launch.

#MyLaunchEvent on Social Media .

Did you know that hashtags are also widely used to promote TV series or movies? This way, people can follow and read other people's opinions.

Tips for using Hashtags

Now I'll tell you what you need to do to index successful hashtags.

Use hashtags with specific words
For example, if you want to know who won the Oscar, don't use a hashtag like this:

#WhoWonTheOscarForBestActress

Instead, use specific words, such as:

#OscarAwards, #OscarWinner or #BestActress.

Doing this will greatly narrow down your search, and you will use the least amount of words and be more specific about the information you want to obtain.
