Sandu set a condition for Russia
Moldova will ask the West to help the Transnistrian Republic overcome its energy crisis if Russian peacekeepers are replaced by a UN or EU civilian mission. This condition was voiced by Moldovan President Maia Sandu, TASS reports .
Currently, Transnistria is experiencing an energy crisis due to the cessation of Russian gas transit through Ukraine. On Sunday, Sandu commented on possible assistance to Tiraspol:
“We are ready, with the support of donors, this is very bc data taiwan to note, to provide financial assistance to the left bank, but this can happen when the Russian army leaves the left bank and when the peacekeeping mission is replaced by a civilian mission under the auspices of the UN or the EU,” Sandu said.

She noted the “importance of international support” in resolving the Transnistrian conflict, pointing out the complexity of the current situation.
Russian peacekeepers were introduced into Transnistria in 1992, after the signing of an agreement with Moldova on the peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian problem.
Tiraspol opposes the withdrawal of peacekeepers, pointing out that they ensure peace and stability in the region.
