For three of the ten technological megaprojects, the list of which was approved by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at the end of May, action plans and project passports have already been drawn up; these are the areas of machine tool manufacturing, unmanned aircraft systems, electronic and radio-electronic products, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko said at the Technoprom-2023 forum on Tuesday.

In turn, the first deputy headMinistry of Industry and TradeRFVasily Osmakovreported that mega-projects will be a kind of platform that will allow for the consolidation of existing support tools and those that will be launched again. "The methodology for developing mega-projects is currently being finalized by the Russian government. We hope that they (the documents - ed.) will be released in the next week or two," he said, noting that the discussion concerns ten comprehensive programs, but that the discussion continues about what is redundant and what should remain.
"But I think that in the fall we will go through this discussion to the end. Two such mega-projects - machine tool manufacturing and drones - are in the most important phase. After working with experts and difficult discussions, now all that remains is to find money for them, which is what we are doing. We have prepared solutions regarding machine tools and drones. We will begin financing this year," he assured.
“Without adequate funding for scientific and technical projects at the intersection of industry and science, we will have no technological sovereignty,” Osmakov concluded.
