he direction of import substitution of machine tools for production, and the tight deadlines for the development of national projects are quite understandable. "Russia needs to get rid of foreign machine tool manufacturers as soon as possible and become import-independent. Technological sovereignty is important for our industry to ensure independence and sustainability. There are companies in Russia that manufacture machine tools, but there are very few of them left since the Soviet Union. Therefore, many enterprises turn to China for new equipment: they manufacture in large quantities, and ours - in small saudi arabia whatsapp resourcebatches. The fundamental fact remains that Russian designers had a large volume of production and demand, but did not have high productivity. Machine tool assembly is a foundry production, and in Russia there are still only a few enterprises that have entire casting workshops. There are also good developments in this matter, but in the direction of laser cutting," Mikhail Savinykh noted.

to increase the potential for manufacturing our own machine tools, and therefore the deadlines are set accordingly, since without strict time frames the process will drag on for many years. "With domestic machine tools, our enterprises will be able to work continuously in any situation, carry out repairs faster and provide the country with the ability to quickly respond to changing circumstances. And most importantly, new national programs in this matter will help achieve complete technological sovereignty," Mikhail Savinykh emphasized.

Vadim Podolny noted that the most complex devices in the field of machine tool building are reactors for the production of fiber for composite materials and devices for the production of microprocessors, such as photolithographic machines: "Development of software for servicing such devices and production lines is a significant challenge. It is important to note that import substitution of such software requires full state subsidization, especially at the initial stage, when the number of devices being serviced is small. Launching a national project in this area is necessary for the successful development of the industry."

A representative of the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the department is ready to cope with Mikhail Mishustin's instructions on this national project by the beginning of August 2024: "We are already coordinating the draft passport of the national project "Production and automation equipment" with interested federal executive bodies. It is currently under consideration by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Commission for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation."
