Today is Consumer Rights Day, a commemorative date created to celebrate the rights and protection of consumers around the world. But have you ever stopped to think about the importance of this date for your company?

In addition to being an opportunity for companies to strengthen relationships with their customers through special actions, Consumer Day is an excellent occasion for consumers to save on their purchases and for companies to increase their sales.

This is because, similar to other kuwait phone numbers holidays such as Black Friday, Consumer Day usually brings together many offers and unique shopping opportunities, with the aim of attracting new customers and also retaining loyal buyers. A recent survey by Shopee, a global e-commerce platform, showed that 68% of consumers who have never bought online are expected to do some digital business for the first time on Consumer Day.

Now that you know the importance of celebratory dates, we will tell you below how to take advantage of this period to boost your sales.

First of all, what is Consumer Day?
Consumer Rights Day was inspired by a speech by former US President John Kennedy, made on March 15, 1962, which highlighted the importance of consumer rights and advocated the need to protect consumers against unfair market practices. However, it was only later, in 1983, that Consumer Rights Day was made official on the same date as the historic speech.

In Brazil, the discussion on consumer rights gained relevance in the 1990s, with the entry into force of the Consumer Protection Code of 1990. The document established rules and guidelines that consumers should follow if they felt harmed when making a purchase.
