ADOBE BUYS TRAFFIC ANALYSIS COMPANY

Adobe has bought traffic analysis company Onmiture for 1.224 billion euros with the aim of monitoring internet content created with its applications, which include programs such as Acrobat, Flash and Photoshop.

The purchase stipulates a payment advertising data of 21.5 dollars per share, which represents a premium of 24% with respect to the market price of Omniture shares , which will help clarify issues such as the clients' habits when placing advertisements.

“We will now be able to offer advertisers, media outlets and e-tailers the ability to realize the value of their digital assets,” said Shantanu Narayen, president of Adobe .

Following the acquisition, Omniture will become a division of Adobe and its chief executive, Josh James, will serve as executive vice president of the new business unit.
