Credit Management in the Utilities and Energy Sector – An Overview

Post by nrumohammadx1 »

What are we talking about when we talk about credit management in the Utility and Energy sector? A truly enormous amount of unpaid debts, with a constantly and very dangerously increasing trend. To have a more concrete measure, it is good to take into consideration some updated data.

Very reliable indicators are provided by the XIII UNIREC report on Credit uk whatsapp resource Protection Services published in June 2023 and presented during the Annual Conference. What emerged? That, in 2022, credits managed on behalf of third parties represented approximately 80% of the total, of which 52% of the amounts are related to the B2C (Business to Consumer) sector. Credits entrusted for recovery to UNIREC member companies increased in 2022 compared to the previous year (+26%), reaching an absolute value of 200 billion euros.

These numbers refer to the total number of companies, not divided by sector. But be careful: as regards the Third Party Originator Account, the quantity of practices, in numerical terms, relating only to the Utility and Telecommunications sector , confirms its first place with 37% of the total but marking a minus 8% compared to 2021.
