Taking stock of your experience and skills and combining them will open up new avenues
Watanabe started his career in sales at an advertising agency, then worked for a business company and a production company, and is now independent as a sole proprietor. In the first half of the seminar, Watanabe looked back on his career and talked about "his own history and what he is using now."
The advertising agency where Watanabe started working after graduating handled a variety of media, including mass media and outdoor advertising. Watanabe said, "The experience I had in my first year of work is still the foundation of my life," and that he learned the importance of "partitioning" and "gripping."
Watanabe: "Shikiri" means production progress, and "Nigiri" means consensus building. It is important to reach a solid consensus with the client on the purpose, the amount, and the schedule. The experience of running around the site while managing the production is still a valuable asset to me now that I'm a web director .
After gaining experience at an advertising agency for three years, Watanabe helped his belgium phone number data friend manage a bar. Using his experience from his previous job, he tried to attract customers online, but he also faced the reality of running a small business. A year later, he changed jobs to work part-time at a web media company.
Watanabe: I worked as a web director for about a year and a half despite having no experience , but the company itself went out of business due to the recession. In my 20s, I had been unsuccessful at three companies in a row, so even if I wanted to change jobs, my career path was all over the place. I didn't even know which jobs to apply for.
This was the first turning point for Watanabe. He consulted with a recruitment agency for the first time, who suggested he take stock of his career.
