Mauricio Angulo has been a programmer since 1989, a popularizer, an avid writer and an entrepreneur. He is currently CEO and founder of Tesseract Space, where he works as an advisor and consultant in technological innovation Qatar Mobile Database digital marketing and user experience.The idea for this issue's column came from a conversation with my father, commenting on a text he presented as part of the Morelos Academy of Sciences' space in the newspaper La Unión de Morelos on April 18 [1]. In it, he talks about the disparity of the figures reported in the face of the demonstration led by Javier Sicilia in Cuernavaca on April 6, and about methods that could be used to have a more precise estimate. I, as a good consultant, suggested something nice and precise in theory, but impractical for all of us who do not have the coercive power of the government: accessing the records of cell phone companies, to find out how many people entered the region through which the march passed during the period of our interest. After all, a very high proportion of the population today has a cell phone, and it could be a good way not only to estimate the magnitude of the march, but to do so over the time it lasted.
