The rectangular design is considered

A look into the future
According to a recent IDC study , the Russian IT market has generally had a relatively good time during the Covid-19 year 2020. The forecasts are also quite rosy. Including because the pandemic has increased the relevance of various types of video services - both cloud and local (on-premises).

It is therefore not surprising that Axis Communications top managers are quite optimistic about the future. They plan to expand the partner network, as well as further improve both vertical (industry) and horizontal applications. As for IP cameras, their further intellectualization is expected. As well as an increase in computing power and the appearance of new, even more specialized models.

However, the current range of Axis IP cameras (it has about two hundred models in total) is still quite wide. The developers distinguish such classes as

Fixed body cameras (for video surveillance in a wide range of austria whatsapp data and weather conditions) - appeared in 1996;
PTZ cameras (pan-tilt-zoom cameras) - 2004;
Fixed Dome Network Cameras - 2006;
Thermal imaging cameras - 2010;
Special purpose cameras (for unique requirements and use cases) - 2011;
panoramic cameras - 2012;
Fixed cylindrical cameras - 2014;
modular cameras (for low-visibility video surveillance) - 2014;
on-board cameras (video surveillance in buses, trains and other public transport) - 2014;
explosion-proof chambers - 2015;
positionable cameras (allow viewing in any direction) - 2015;
wearable devices (body cameras) - 2020
At the same time, they note that the cylindrical design is a more modern form of the case; in the future, most IP cameras will look exactly like this. Such cameras are more suitable in design for the installation sites and are not so conspicuous. At the same time, they have limitations: since the cases are small, there is less “space for technology” in them. Therefore, for now, Axis’ best camera in a cylindrical case has a resolution of 10 MP; the typical resolution of such cameras is between 2 and 3 MP.

classic. It is more suitable for large cameras with high performance. For example, for fixed cameras with high resolution - by the way, a large lens is needed there, which fits better in a rectangular case. Currently, Axis' best camera in a classic case has a resolution of 20 MP; the typical resolution of such cameras is between 3 and 5 MP.
