Basically, two steps are always necessary for a domain transfer:

Cancellations for deletion are always carried out at the end of the current domain term or tariff term, whichever comes first. A domain canceled due to a change of provider can be moved to another provider as soon as the cancellation confirmation is received. If no change of provider has taken place by the specified cancellation date, the domain will be deleted at the end of the domain term or returned to the registry (for .de or .at domains).

Change of provider (domain transfer)
Changing a domain malaysia phone data
from one provider (registrar) to another is done via the relevant registry for the respective TLD. The processes and terms for this can vary slightly depending on the registry and provider. For example, most registrars require that the cancellation of the provider change be made in writing, but some (such as DomainFactory) also allow this to be done online. Most of the time, this is referred to as a "domain transfer" or "provider change".

DENIC, as a .de registry, used to use a so-called KK procedure (connectivity coordination), which is why you may still occasionally come across the term "KK application". Today, however, only the CHPROV procedure ( change provider ) is in use.

The owner of the domain cancels the domain with his current provider in order to change provider (see also the section “Domain cancellation” above).
The owner orders the domain from the new provider and requests the change. The new provider takes care of all further steps.
The transfer of a domain is largely automatic and usually takes 3 to 10 days, depending on the top level domain. To ensure that your website remains accessible as usual, you must copy your website data to the new provider's servers. Please note that this will assign your domain a new IP address. It may take some time (up to 48 hours) until all name servers know the current assignment and your website is accessible everywhere.

Domain transfer to DomainFactory

Termination of provider change: DomainFactory makes it easier for you to move your domain by providing a prepared form "Consent to a provider change" that you can use to terminate your contract with your current provider. You can download this form here:

For many TLDs (e.g. .de, .at, .com, .net, .org) your old provider will send you an authorization code (often called "AuthInfo" or "Auth Code") - usually automatically. We need this AuthInfo to arrange for your domain to be transferred to us. The code is valid for 30 days and can only be used for the domain transfer in question.

Order a domain from DomainFactory: After you have canceled your subscription, you can order the domain from us. To do this, enter the domain name in the domain search field and click on "Check domain". Because the domain is already registered, you will be offered the option to "Reserve for provider change", assuming, of course, that you are authorized to use the domain. Then continue the ordering process as usual and enter the AuthInfo when asked.
