The future of PEC points towards SERCQ

Post by nrumohammadx1 »

We all know PEC (Certified Electronic Mail). It is now a tool of daily use, for a large portion of professionals and not only. According to the latest available data, there are over 14 million active PEC addresses; while, in 2016, the figure stopped at a figure between 7 and 8 million.

To put it simply, we can say that PEC corresponds to the old registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt; and, as we have underlined above, it is an entirely Italian peculiarity that is however adapting to European standards. But let's proceed in order.

What is certain is that PEC can be considered a Certified Electronic nepal whatsapp resource Delivery Service (SERC), as it satisfies the requirements set out in Article 43 of the eIDAS regulation that we reported above. Be careful, however: it cannot be considered a Qualified Certified Electronic Delivery Service (SERCQ) .

The dividing line, in fact, is the one we have already isolated above: the guarantees on the sender and recipient. In particular, at present, there is no provision for certain verification of the identity of the person requesting the PEC mailbox . Furthermore, there is no provision for the manager to be required to undergo compliance checks by the designated bodies.

This explains why spam and some scams sometimes appear even in the inbox of certified email boxes: PEC has more simplified (and therefore less secure) procedures for identifying requesting subjects (lighter and easier to circumvent, for example, than those provided for SPID).
