A Brief History of Tubi TV

Post by sumonasumonakha.t »

Tubi TV began when AdRise founders Farhad Massoudi and Thomas Ahn Hicks recognized the growing demand for free, ad-supported streaming content. Inspired by the success of platforms like YouTube and Netflix, they wanted to create a similar model for movies and TV shows.

With this vision in mind, AdRise launched Tubi TV in 2014. The platform was intended to provide viewers around the world with a massive library of movies and TV shows, completely free of charge. The founders believed that by offering a high-quality streaming experience without subscription fees, Tubi TV could reach a wide audience and disrupt the traditional streaming model.

Tubi TV faced challenges in its early days in attracting content partners and securing student data licensing deals. However, it built a robust library of popular titles through strategic partnerships with major studios and distributors. This allowed Tubi TV to offer diverse content across a wide range of genres and appeal to a wide range of viewer preferences.
