Table 7 shows the breakdown between men and women in our profession. We have all seen the efforts that the industry has made to try to attract and retain more women, but there is definitely a lot more that needs to be done.
Table 7. Breakdown by gender
Skills and knowledge
Tables 8a through 8i show the breakdown of salaries across different categories of tools and technologies used by software professionals.
But others require spain consumer email list some explanation. For example, in the case of Table 8f, it shows platforms used to process and manage data. These range from traditional Business Intelligence tools, to ETLs, to Big Data and stream processing platforms. Although several additional tools were included in the survey (e.g. Cloudera, Splunk, Teradata), they are not listed in the table because they had fewer than 10 responses.
Table 8g shows the infrastructure category, which includes middleware, application servers, virtualization platforms, containers, and PaaS. Yes, we know, it's a very broad category. We'll break it down in future years.
Table 8h shows business applications. This was once the bulk of IT work (ERP implementation), especially in Mexico. But as software is increasingly used for much more than automating administrative processes, the business applications category is gradually losing ground in relation to software in general. That is why in this case we decided to include even the results of those options that had less than 10 responses.
Most of these are self-explanatory
