Too much work committed

Post by sujonkumar6300 »

You can already imagine what this is about, but join me as I review them one by one.

This happens to me frequently because I don't know how to say NO. And why don't we know how to say NO? Because, among other things, if we like the person who asks us for something, we feel bad about rejecting it.

The effect of taking on too many commitments is that we exceed our ability to complete them during the time we have allotted for work. As a result, in order to complete them all, we have to “steal” time that we intended to spend on other things. We stay at work longer or take it home.

The “stolen” time increases because when we have to fulfill many commitments turkey consumer email list at once, we start jumping from one to another to make progress on all of them. But our heads, unlike operating systems, do not have the speed to switch from one “application” to another. We need time to remember what it was about in order to resume interrupted work.

The side effect of working under time pressure is that the results may be of lower quality, we lack time to review them, and we also feel insecure when delivering them. This can put us in a bad mood instead of feeling the satisfaction of doing things well.

Another risk is that we simply will not be able to meet so many commitments on time. This results in delays, which always have a cost ( cost of delay ), either for ourselves or for those who await our results.
