A reliable author can always be checked on the website of the publication where the publication is posted. A fake will most likely use a pseudonym, which will be impossible to find information about.

The reliability of an expert assessment can be assessed by whether information about the education, experience, and regalia of the expert is provided. Also pay attention to the following details:

Does the educational institution listed in the author's information actually exist?

Does the commentary correspond to the competence that the expert possesses?

Often, authors who have gained popularity allow comments not only on their topic, but also on arbitrary news items. In this case, their opinion may attract the attention of the public, but cannot be considered expert.

The content of the article appeals to the user's emotions
The categorical nature of the arguments, evasive wording, reference not to facts but to general ideas and principles will almost certainly indicate the unreliability of the news. One-sidedness of the position, the absence of alternative opinions, references to sources by which the information can be verified should also be a warning sign.
