Apparently, the creators of this app have left nothing to chance. Blendle's app not only allows easy access and payment for articles in one place, but also shows which articles are trending , and lets you see which stories have been shared by your friends or curators (such as celebrities, politicians, and journalists). In turn, you can search for premium content in newspapers and magazines and, if you are interested in a specific topic, you can set up email alerts based on certain words or nurses email list phrases.
New users of the app receive 2.50 euros for free, and can top up their Blendle wallet when the money has been spent. As a way of encouraging usage, the app has the option of refunding readers if they have paid for an article that they feel was not worth the money.
Blendle is currently in beta . Thousands of beta testers are using the app right now, and another 15,000 are waiting to get access before its official launch in the Netherlands next month. Apparently, they've started reading more and paying more for quality content.
“We believe that unbundling journalism is the Holy Grail in getting young people to pay for journalism again,” says the 12-person team behind Blendle. What do you think?
